Designing a system to suit

your needs and budget is our aim.

Hydronic underfloor heating is an energy efficient and sustainable solution for heating your home.

It works well under several different floor surfaces including marble, stone, slate, carpet, timber and all varieties of tiles.

The simple premise is that water through a heat source, is fed through pipes installed

with in the floor, this heats the floor and provides radiant heat throughout the home.

Even temperatures and timing are controlled with a thermostat.

These systems are generally used in large spaces, and are particularly appealing to those looking to reduce their electricity usage. They have been popular throughout Europe for many years and are now becoming increasingly popular in Australia. With warm dry bathrooms, subtle comfortable temperatures in each room, all year round, right through the house.

How does it work?

Hydronic underfloor systems work by heating water in a heat source and then circulating the warmed water at a low pressure through piping.

The pipes are toughened plastic such as PEX and are embedded in a concrete slab, the screed above the slab or directly below the floor surface.

As the floor heats up, heat radiates into the room gently and evenly resulting in a natural and comfortable heated space.

The heat source used for heating the water can be powered using one of several energy efficient and environmentally means.

Traditionally the heat source is gas or fire wood. Now with modern heat pump technology, hydronic heating is efficiently using electrical power to create the most comfortable homes. Quality hydronic heat pumps can be Solar PV integrated and also provide high efficiency domestic hot water in one unit.
